I'm not sure how winter is going in other places around the U.S., but the weather in Chicago has taken a turn for the better.

January was a gray slog, but February has been off to a good start with plenty of sunny days. This will probably change to snow soon, but I'm enjoying it while I can.

Does anyone else find themselves taking more time for mindfulness when the sun is shining? I think because nice weather is such a mood booster that I feel more reflective and appreciative.

What do you think, Connect community?

Chicago feels SO much better when it's sunnier. Yesterday, my partner and I took our doggo for a long walk and it felt SO good.

Today was the first time I woke up early specifically to write in my journal in almost a month, and while it felt overwhelming, it also felt good to get started in at least writing SOME things down. Hopefully it'll feel easier with time!

@Nick Kapling I know you've had a big Monday today, how's that been feeling?

I actually sat on my front porch this morning, it was so warm, and looked at the remnants of my herb garden and the dead grass while a soft breeze blew small scraps  of paper around. It was quite peaceful, and something I hadn't done since last year. I'll take this warm February any day (looking over my shoulder sure we have some cold and snow left yet)
