I realized over the weekend that we're about 75% of the way through January! I personally can't believe it, but it got me thinking about how I practiced mindfulness over the last three-ish weeks. I'll admit I haven't been as in the moment as I planned to be, but I've definitely taken opportunities for mindfulness.
Since it's been pretty mild weather-wise in the Chicago area, I've been able to get outside more and enjoy walks in my neighborhood. I've found new things I haven't noticed before, like shops, restaurants, and expensive coffee.
My office also has a great view of Lake Michigan and the surrounding area. When I'm there, I'll take moments throughout the day to look out the window and enjoy the view. It helps me declutter my mind if I'm stuck on something at work.
