Anyone else feeling a little extra exhausted at the end of the day these days?

I've done a fair amount of research and reflection on burnout - what it looks like, what it feels like, how I know it's coming on... but I'm also feeling like everything looks and feels different in the last couple of years. Where as I used to get some pretty big warning signs (loss of motivation has always been a big one for me) that I needed to take a break, I feel like I'm not getting as much lead time these days. Maybe I'm missing other signs?

How do you know when burnout is comin' for you? Do you have any strategies you use to mitigate?

Loss of motivation is big for me too! I have been turning to meditation more lately, and one I did about navigating "big feelings" encourages us to pause, breathe, and acknowledge. Because "what we resist persists." So when I feel burnout, I tend to say "hello burnout, I see that you are here, it's good to see you. You want to take a break and grab some tea?" It may sound silly, but the energy we spend fighting feelings instead of facing them can really take so much energy.
