It's probably safe to say that most people don't enjoy winter. The cold, the snow, and the sun setting before 5 p.m. makes me want to stay inside for at least three months (Chicago winters are no joke!). But, I do believe there are things to look forward to this season!

In this week's #MindfulnessMonday post, @Amy Finkelstein and @Quinn Drew shared some fun cold-weather activities they enjoy and that make great additions to a winter to-do list. I know I'm looking forward to knocking out some books on my reading list, checking out the lightscape at the Chicago Botanic Garden, trying some new soup recipes (share your faves please!), and visiting museums I may not visit when the weather's nice. Also, seeing family and friends over the holidays will definitely make the winter a little brighter.

Are you looking forward to any winter activities or traditions, and how do you make the most of this time of the year?

Can't wait to read your tips and tricks!

A friend of mine went to the Botanic Garden's lightscape and she said it was incredible, so I'm pumped for you on that. Do you know that the Morton Arboretum also does a light show? Looks like they're sold out for this year, but it might be fun to bookmark for next year.

My list includes this sweet Lego exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry, which closes on 16 January.

    Happy Tuesday!
