  • 1.  UPDATE: Working at the office is not so scary after all!

    Posted 04-07-2022 15:52

    Hello!

You may remember I posted a few weeks ago that I was anxious about returning to office and having in-person interactions. Well, I'm happy to report that this week, I've spent two days working in the office, at my desk, and it's not scary at all! In fact, it feels really good to be here, even though I have to haul my laptop and work papers, prepare and bring more than half the food I'll eat for the day, and wear a mask everywhere but when seated at my desk.

Granted, I can count on one hand (and have leftover fingers) the number of people working here on my floor, but I've spoken in person to all of them and not one of them bit me. So, to my colleagues and others who are on the fence about in-person office appearances, I urge you to come on in; the water's fine!

Yay @Maria Mooshil! Thanks for sharing your experience. I am thinking about going into the office one day a week to see how it goes. I am getting tired of moving from one place to another in my house and calling it "work" or "not work." I have honestly not heard a single person who started going back into the office who said it was a terrible hassle and they're staying put at home! Every single person has said there are definite advantages.

Thanks so much for this encouragement!
