I think we can all agree on two things:

  1. Professional development is important
  2. It can be really hard to make time for it in your busy life. 

Creating a Professional Development Plan helps you organize your thoughts and keep you accountable. Check out this template created by the Global People and Talent team at Rotary. Hopefully it'll help you process which goal(s) and/or areas you want to focus on in the upcoming year (or whatever time frame you decide).
